Rise and shine, pal o' mine! What an eventful calendar week… I know I've been kind of incomunicado, but I wanted to spend some vacation time with my in-laws, then yesterday was my first day using my new gestational diabetes gizmo/blood testing thingamabob.

In other words, it was a busy week!

Yup, I was diagnosed with that gestational diabetes stuff. 🙁 It'southward pretty common and hopefully temporary. Most of the fourth dimension information technology goes away after delivery, just for now I have to prick a finger, exam a little drop of blood and log the results in my doctor diary four times per 24-hour interval — once in the forenoon after getting up, and then once over again after each meal.

I mean…it'southward not my thought of a party, and I still get anxiety when I accept to poke myself with the needle, but you lot gotta do what y'all gotta do, ya know? High claret sugar tin crusade complications later, so if I have to examination my blood, watch what I eat fifty-fifty more closely (What!? No more TJ's night chocolate stars this year! THE HORROR!) and exercise a piddling more, it's done.

In other news…well, I don't really have any other news. 🙂 Tabs is doing well. He'south well-nigh finished with his Christmas shopping, and he'due south been loving life lately because El Hub has been taking him for early morning walks exterior while it'south still nighttime, and then he gets to use his absurd cat optics…

Other than that, nosotros're just chugging along. I hope you lot are too.
